McPherson Eye Care, LLP started in 1989 by Tammy Odle Goering, OD and joined by her cousin, Jan Turnbull Hageman, OD in May 1995. Moved to current location at 1323 East First Street, McPherson KS 67460 in September 1995.

Dr. Hageman grew up in Stockton Kansas and graduated from Kansas State University in 1983. She received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 1987. Dr. Hageman practiced in Wichita Kansas for eight years before joining Dr. Goering and forming McPherson Eye Care in 1995.

Dr. Goering was raised on a farm between Stockton and Phillipsburg and is a graduate of KSU. She received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 1989. Dr. Goering established her family eye care practice in McPherson in the fall of 1989. She is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Kansas Optometric Association, and is President of the Eye Care Council. Dr. Goering has also served on the McPherson Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and is serving as Chairman of the McPherson Healthcare Foundation. In 1997, she received the Kansas Young Optometrist of the Year Award. Dr. Goering and her busband Greg, a McPherson native, have a son Trenton and daughter Taylor. They enjoy living on and operating the family farm.
